dariaakasha-deactivated20120218 asked: your ultra defined twist out...how in the WORLD did you get your hair to do that???? :)

Afroh’s “Ultra” defined twist out…

Wash then detangle

I use a heavy/thick shea butter mixture that I make using raw shea butter and a few of my favorite oils. I would recommend twisting with a cream or butter rather than a gel or just an oil.

When twisting the hair use the rope twisting method. Concentrate on twisting the two sections of hair as you twist them around each other. Imagine holding your two strands: section “A” and section “B”. Use your thumb and pointer finger of your dominant hand to pinch section A rub your thumb against your pointer finger to twist the hair in section A. Bring section A around section B and repeat to the ends. Twist as close to the ends of your hair as you can then add a little of your twisting butter to the ends and roll the end around your finger.

Let the twist stay in until your hair is completely dry. If you are comfortable blow drying your hair go for it, if not rock your twist for a day or two. After your hair is dry carefully separate section A and B. Add a light oil for sheen and your done!

I am working hard with little reward. I think its time to get my business off the ground. I need to shift gears but I’m not exactly sure which direction to head.
